Rachael Babcock

Hi! I'm Rachael, a certified personal trainer (CPT) and owner of Evolve Personal Performance. My journey in personal training began with a certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) from 2017 through 2020. After taking a break to start a family, I re-certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in early 2024, and shortly after, Evolve Personal Performance was born. My mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where individuals of all backgrounds feel safe, supported, and empowered in their fitness and wellness journey.

Formerly active in high school sports, I turned to long-distance running and completed a marathon and several half marathons in my early 20s. Due to arthritis-related knee issues, I transitioned to weightlifting in 2016 and fell in love with strength training. That shift led me to the bodybuilding world, where I competed in both figure and physique competitions.

My experience with severe knee arthritis, including a recent Open Wedge High Tibial Osteotomy to realign my leg and reduce joint pressure, has given me deep insight into managing pain, adapting workouts, and finding balance during recovery. I understand how frustrating it can be to love movement but feel limited by pain or setbacks—and how powerful smart, progressive training can be in supporting longevity and joint health. This surgery is part of my plan to hopefully delay a full knee replacement by 10–15 years, and it’s added another layer of compassion and adaptability to how I coach.

I’m also neurodivergent (AuDHD) and understand firsthand what it can be like to navigate the world—and gym spaces—through a different lens. I know that things like anxiety, overstimulation, routines, and transitions can play a huge role in how safe or welcome someone feels in a fitness environment. While I’m not a licensed mental health professional, I aim to foster a space that feels grounding, non-judgmental, and flexible to individual needs. You won’t find one-size-fits-all here—we’ll work together in a way that respects your body and your brain.

Fitness has also supported me through pregnancy complications, postpartum anxiety and depression, and life’s many curveballs. It’s not just about aesthetics—it's about mental clarity, self-trust, and the freedom to move with confidence.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me hanging with my two little adventurers (ages 4 and 6) and my incredibly supportive husband. Whether it’s hiking trails, exploring parks, sports or swimming, movement is woven into our family life. One of my biggest hopes is to raise kids who understand the importance of both physical and mental well-being. As a parent and coach, I strive to model the strength, balance, and grace that fitness has brought into my life.

I'm excited to be part of your journey—whether you're just starting out, returning from an injury, or navigating fitness through a neurodivergent or anxious lens. Let’s build something sustainable, empowering, and uniquely you.

✨ Nutrition: Is HUGE when it comes to optimizing results! I have formal education in nutrition & offer guidance & education to help clients meet their goals. Customized nutrition plans are available as well. For most clients, I find that a flexible approach incorporating favorite foods is most sustainable.

✨ Holistic Wellness: There is so much more to each of us than what meets the eye! To achieve long term health, we must acknowledge that we are multi-dimensional beings & our overall health is the culmination of many factors. I take a comprehensive approach with my clients, recognizing how training, diet & nutrition habits, sleep, stress management, & mindset/mental health, all play into their well-being. Optimizing each of those helps us THRIVE!

✨ Fitness History: I have been active my whole life. I found weightlifting to be the best approach for making me stronger, shaping my body, maintaining a healthy weight, & boosting my confidence. Now days you’ll find me pursuing my passion for bodybuilding. Fun fact: it was my sister Rachael (owner of Evolve Personal Performance) who got me into lifting & bodybuilding! I began competitive bodybuilding 6 years ago, at age 43, & recently advanced into the IFBB professional league!

✨ Personal Life: I have 5 kids, ranging in age from 20 to 30 years old, & 2 adorable grandsons. I love my fur babies (1 dog, 3 cats) and spending time outdoors, whether playing or just relaxing – especially anywhere a beach is involved! ☀️🏖️🌊

Madi Harsh

Coach/Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor

Hi my name is Madi! I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2022 with a BS in exercise science. I am NASM certified personal trainer and currently prepping for my first bodybuilding show in the fall! I am also going back to school to be a physical therapy assistant. Although I personally like to train hard, I realize that everyone's goal is different and I usually take a more functional approach to training clients with a good focus on mobility.

Outside of the fitness world I enjoy reading books, baking, traveling, trying new food, and cuddling with my fur baby (Scout the cat) when he lets me.

Chris Babcock

Operations Manager

Chris is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse at Evolve Personal Performance—and also Rachael’s husband, number-one supporter, and the guy who makes all her “crazy dreams” come to life (with a laugh and a lot of tools). From building the gym out not once, but twice, to laying floors, assembling and reassembling equipment, and even jumping into light construction—Chris is the hands-on force that helps turn vision into reality.

While he works full-time as an analyst by day, Chris still finds the time and energy to handle much of the backend work that keeps Evolve running smoothly. His technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving mindset have been invaluable in every aspect of the business—from infrastructure and systems to practical, everyday operations.

Whether it’s solving a logistical challenge, fixing equipment, or quietly managing the million little things that keep the gym humming, Chris is truly a jack of all trades—and the glue that holds it all together.
